He wrote and co-wrote multiple award-winning Filipino films such as "José Rizal", "Muro Ami", and "Bagong Buwan". In 2015, he directed the multi-awarded film "Shadow Behind The Moon" which won the Best Director, NETPAC and FIPRESCI awards at the 13th Pacific Meridian Film Festival.
