César Galindo

He was born in the Ayacucho city of Puquio. He grew up between Cuzco and Lima, in the latter city he trained as an architect. Years later, in Paris and Stockholm he developed his path as a filmmaker, first exploring the documentary language and then entering fiction, always with themes related to the Andean world. During his stay in Paris, Galindo studied film and, later, worked as a sound engineer.1 There he met people like Gabriel García Márquez and Fernando Botero. In addition, he worked on the filming of the film La Truite (1982) by director Joseph Losey. Participation in this production contributed to his training as a filmmaker.
