Hiroshi Fukutomi

Hiroshi Fukutomi (Fukutomi Hiroshi, 福冨 博, July 25, 1950, former name: 福富 博 (same reading)) is a Japanese animation director born in Kōchi prefecture. His wife is animator Kazuko Fukutomi (福富和子). He joined A Production (currently Shin-Ei Douga) after dropping out of Tokyo Designer Gakuin (currently Tokyo Net Wave). In 1982, he founded the animation production company Animaru-Ya (currently Ekura Animaru) with Yoshinubo Sanada, Toshiyuki Honda, and Makoto Moriwaki, who were then the staff producing Kaibutsu-kun. Currently, he is mainly active in Studio Comet works.
