Chucho E. Quintero

Born in Río Blanco, Veracruz in Mexico in 1989, Chucho E. Quintero has studied with professors such as Paula Markovitch and Jorge Ayala Blanco. In 2011, he won the IMJUVE Award for Best Young Director at the 15th Mix México Film Festival for his short film, “Félix y el pez” (“Félix and the Fish”). His film “Velociraptor” won the Jury Prize for Best Feature at the 17th Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (now OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival) in 2015, and later participated in more than fifteen international festivals. His latest narrative feature, “Los días particulares” (“These Peculiar Days”) was selected as the opening night film for the 21st Thessaloniki International LBGTIQ Film Festival in Greece, and went on to be screened at more than a dozen film festivals around the world.
