Luis Enrique Rodríguez Ramos

Luis Enrique Rodriguez Ramos was born in Barrio La Aldea, in the municipality of Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He has been a director for 15 out of his 24 -year-old career in advertising and film. In 1992 he was accepted into the School of Communications at the University of Puerto Rico. A few years into his studies, he was assigned an in-class group project to create a music video for his film class. Of the six people in the group, just one could be the director. One of his classmates was voted director and he was voted producer, hence starting his early production career. That project enabled to network and to make connections in the industry allowing him to work his way up into making short films. He worked with most of the same team he had while in college. Soon after, he became a production assistant working in a few commercials and a production coordinator. While in the production department, he kept producing and began simultaneously editing, but knew that directing was his passion. A few years into his career, he was finally able to create my own production house. It was then that he started to direct and produce content. His feature film directorial debut was Por Amor en el Caserío, (2013), an urban film portraying social themes which received great reviews. He released his second film, Dos Caminos (2017), and will soon direct his third feature by early 2018. His directorial and production work have included commercials, documentaries, and other content. His greatest inspiration for shooting a film is to tell stories and create a product that people will love, react to, and get to experience as a motion picture. His passion for photography helps him develop a very different visual communication to tell a story. It complements his focus on the visual aspect, the acting and on his work as director to make his films a well-rounded product that people love and learn from.
