Sergio Rossetti, a physical education teacher, is transferred to Remis, a small mountain village in which an unbreakable serenity reigns. He discovers that behind that golden equilibrium lies a disturbing ritual. One night a week the inhabitants of Remis are freed of their pain thanks to a teenager, Matteo Corbin: just hugging him is enough to feel better. In an attempt to save Matteo from the madness of his community, Sergio will unleash the dark side of what everyone calls the angel of Remis.

Paolo Strippoli

Paolo Strippoli was born in Corato, Bari, in 1993. He graduated in directing from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome after graduating in Performing Arts and Sciences at La Sapienza University. In 2019 he won the Franco Solinas award for best subject with the film L'angelo infelice. In 2020 he directs with Roberto De Feo the Netflix original film A Classic Horror Story, with which he wins the best director award at the 67th Taormina Film Fest. In 2022 he directs his second feature film, the psychological horror film Flowing. In 2025 he will release his next movie, the horror The Valley of Smiles.
