A mockumentary about three young student filmmakers as they make a movie about an alleged film director living obscurely in a Buenos Aires mental hospital. In their visits to the mental hospital, the three students will forge a very special relationship with the self-styled former film director as they follow different clues and strategies to discover his 'true' identity.

Eliseo Alberto Subiela (born December 27, 1944 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine film director and writer, whose works are considered to be in the 'magic realism' genre. Subiela is the father of actress, Guadalupe Subiela (who acted in her father's film, Pequeños Milagros). He has won and been nominated for awards at the Toronto, Montreal, Berlin, Istanbul and Havana film festivals, among others.
