MY WONDERFUL WEST BERLIN recounts the lives and struggles of gay men in West-Berlin. Through present-day scenes and never before seen archival footage, a fascinating picture emerges of a city, that today characterizes itself as a dream destination and place of refuge for gays.

When Edith's Bells Toll

The year is coming to an end and Christmas is imminent. But it is the blackest day of the year for Hartz VIII recipient Edith Schröder (Ades Zabel), Leggingsladen owner Biggy (Biggy van Blond) and Kiezwirtin Jutta Hartmann (Bob Schneider), because they have no family to celebrate with them - not to mention children! But this time everything should be different: end with the solitude, the microwave dishes, war films and men's stripshows.Instead, the girlfriends simply want to celebrate together at Edith's home, with a delicious roast goose and a lot of cheap luscious liquor. It does not matter, that the hostess can not cook a bit. But when Edith and Biggy get almost a life-long house ban on the purchase of gifts, the contemplative mood threatens to tilt ...

The Founder

An alien from the planet Antoria lands on Earth and is promptly assaulted by the porn producer Gerhard Hornbacher, who steals his "form changer". Hornbacher sees this as a way to make money and founds the spiritual TV channel "Teleportal", where he offers people the opportunity to flee to Antoria to escape the impending destruction of the Earth, for a price of course.

Rosas Welt – 70 neue Filme von Rosa von Praunheim

Rosa von Praunheim is an icon in the scene: gay activist, loving provocateur and a very special filmmaker from Berlin for decades. His curiosity for people and their fates runs through his extensive film work. For his 70th birthday he has now made 70 new short films. In the first part of the big project, he confronts Thilo Sarrazin with the mayor of Neukölln, Heinz Buschkowsky, and the Turkish lawyer and women's rights activist Seyran Ates; shows a homosexual hustler in Bucharest; gossip reporter Andreas Kurtz, who knows everything about Berlin's celebrities; Rosa's neighbors who live with her dependent brother; Esther Bauer, who survived Auschwitz, and the Berlin comedian Ades Zabel. High on the roofs of Berlin, the gay chimney sweep Alain Rappsilber tells him about his fetish leather meeting Folsom.

Karin Hoehne is a retired teacher living in Berlin - Haselhorst. On her way to meet her best friend Rosa Brathuhn she involuntarily witnesses a horrible murder on a passing train. A young woman gets chopped up by an ax murderer. Sadly the police, in particular exchange commissioner Rock Milchester, thinks that she is a slightly senile old lady, especially because no corpse was found. So what else can she do but to try to solve the case on her own. Rosa is quickly persuaded and off they go... A first clue is found next to the tracks. It leads Mrs. Hoehne to the salon of the master of hairstyling Horst Brueller where Miss Gisela Drache runs a strict regime. In spite of her age Mrs. Hoehne starts as a trainee and not only diva Veranda Strunzig-Lopez is quickly convinced of her talents, Horst Brueller and his silky lover Bruno as well. A poisoned wig and more bodies indicate that Mrs. Hoehne follows the right lead.

The Killer Condom

In New York City, detective Luigi Mackeroni investigates a string of mysterious penile mutilations at the Hotel Quickie. After Mackeroni attempts to have a tryst with a gigolo he meets in the lobby, a carniverous condom bites off his right testicle and flees, which sets the detective off on a quest to stop the predatory prophylactic once and for all.

1998: After being committed to a drunkard's home by her friend Uschi, Edith is released 16 years later. Now she can finally take revenge on Uschi - by mixing mutation powder into her drink. But things turn out differently than expected! By coincidence, the two get into a timeslip and Uschi wins millions in the lottery, which she uses to buy a house with her mother and husband. Strange things start to happen there after the mutation powder takes effect...
