A Wake

The children in a religious family clash with their parents as they prepare for the wake of their brother, Mitchel. Teenage Mason desperately tries to reach his lost identical twin through spiritual means. Precocious preteen Molly meticulously organizes the event expecting everything to go exactly as planned. Megan, their older sister, returns home after a long absence, no longer interested in repressing the truth. Their Baptist grandmother and parents attempt to maintain normalcy when an unexpected stranger, Jameson, arrives -- forcing the family to face secrets and lies around Mitchel's death.

Code Switch

A young black man named Amir who is directly impacted by code switching. He feels the need to be masculine, athletic, good looking, well-dressed to be the best. Amir is so determined to meet these unrealistic standards that he doesn't even recognize the harm he is causing to himself. "Code Switch" is about shattering the illusion of perfection and illustrating the psychological damage of hiding who you are.

I Can Do Anything: A Letter to Burning Man

This experimental short is an intimate, character-focused exploration of the unique Black Experience at Burning Man. It was not the director’s priority to capture Burning Man itself, but the energy exchange that it has with the present Black bodies. His goal in this piece inspires curiosity.
