Samp

Samp is a professional hitman who is hired by a powerful president to kill traditionalists. On a personal level, he has psychological problems he treats with music. After killing his mother, he wanders through Puglia seeking his ideal woman. He encounters all sorts of people as he goes: nature-lovers, people out to find their roots, and an eccentric musician. Suddenly, Samp falls in love, not once, but serially. With women of little substance. He kills someone else and becomes almost human—and that humanity will put paid to his dreams of power.

Milano, via Padova

MILAN VIA PADOVA. A document that was born out of an excess of zeal in an investigation into the people who live on the street. The film tells of racism and intolerance through singing that shows the sweetness of a forgotten rhythm. The unusual reality reaches performative peaks when personal and social problems are intertwined. It is a film on the verge of becoming. It was born as a synthetic work but like the themes it deals with, it prolongs its life over time. After four years it became a feature film.

Troppolitani - Valle Occupato

Is art useful to man? The actors are suited to society. Passers-by are people who want to dream but have now lost confidence, laziness on the one hand, conditioning and deschooling on the other, require you to lower your sights and everyone is content to pursue modest cheap expectations. Reality and art are not in communication, impoverished by individualism, the actors and artists dance to the rhythm imposed by power, they slaughter each other, they abuse each other without realizing the possibilities of communication that open up by moving outside the choir. Rome is occupied by every step, the foot walking lightly occupies the public land. But this occupation is not news because it is lightning fast. The criteria of employment mark the time.

Troppolitani - Fuori dove?

Path in progress on the intentions of those who think badly. The discomfort of the mind of those who have no discomfort is greater than that of those who make discomfort their natural expression. "Troppolitani Outside Where?" it is a journey through the folds of the human and inhuman mind. A one-way trip that does not allow for escape: you remain trapped in the thought of whoever is in front of you. One is stunned by the astonishment that the deviated mind is able to arouse.

I clandestini del cinema italiano

Antonio Rezza and Flavia Mastrella are two artists that use their bodies like objects. Their works are exaltations of the object compared to the subject. The interpreter is more important than the author. The role of artistic expression is to represent what is not there. Cinema is an improper weapon because it is in the wrong hands. The solution would be - according to the two artists - for cinema as well as all art to be managed by those who have imagination and who are not down to earth.

Fotofinish 2

Documentary filmed on the occasion of the “2003, Odyssey in Space Zero” operation inside the Spazio Zero Theater in Rome. The document, filmed between 21 October and 30 November 2003, recounts the representation of Fotofinish not as a single and continuous work, but as the evolution over time of the moods and movements of the actors who, replica after replica, have developed an awareness of the space and arrived at the joy of staging.

Confusus

Giuseppe who is allergic to diminutives, leaves his mother marked by incest. Tamara, a rampant young girl, abandons her father after loving him. During his pilgrimage Giuseppe breaks many a heart but since he loves to masturbate he never gives himself and never lets himself be touched. The young man’s fame reaches the ears of Tamara who, after searching in vain finally meets him on the wane. The two fall in love, get married and are soon bored. The simplistic, theoretical Giuseppe finds his allergic attacks increasing due to syncopated forms. Tamara gets pregnant, her husband repudiates the paternity, she kills him with diminutive blows. The child is born reluctantly; it looks like its father and inherits his allergies…

De Civitate Rei

Costante dies and leaves his wife Torella his computer discovery. Torella entrusts the disk to her husband’s friend Gervasio, a lazy man scorned by his family. Twenty years later, Torella tries to get back the disk but Gervasio, who has become rich thanks to the discovery, agrees to go to court over it and comes away the winner. He therefore summons divine misfortune: he loses his third son, suffocated by wealth; kills his wife in a blind rage; and is executed by his first-born son who, after a violent panic attack and reckoning with his conscience, chooses life.

La divina provvidenza

A charismatic boss shuts himself up in a pokey little niche. His disciples go visit him and hang on his every complaint. The boss realises that the experts are all the same, they reason with their arse and never raise their eyes; despite this he adores them and urges them to spend time with him. A woman regularly keeps their meeting place clean and the disciples dislike her as they hate cleanliness. The charismatic boss doesn’t meet the needs of his “flock” which is getting bigger and bigger, a crowd gathering beneath the niche: a revolt breaks out……

Deborah

Created by Antonio Rezza using an auto-timer and edited in the video camera, it describes selfishness and one-sided relationships. The only person who listens to everyone else’s problems ends up sopressing himself before the eyes of his confidantes/ executioners.
