To Hold My Love

To Hold My Love is a short film merging dance, fashion, and spoken words. Through their bodies and their language, the five dancers pull the viewers into their worlds where they explore themes related to women's vulnerabilities, identity, body image, and sensuality. A portrait of complex emotional journeys experienced through the profound strength of sisterhood. The film features fashion pieces from Lynn La Young’s collection and is set to an original music score composed by Saber Rider. To Hold My Love is a screen adaptation of a stage show choreographed by Elettra Giunta for Resolution Festival at The Place Theatre. It was brought to the screen with the help of director Adam Othman and cinematographer Will Hazell.

Casting themselves as an invasive TV presenter, Ames goes on a satirical odyssey through the lives and homes of four unique individuals, exploring the crucial question that defines trans masc experience, “What TOP did you wanna wear after TOP surgery?”.

Principal Boy

Principal Boy follows the audition, rehearsal, and performance of the central character in British pantomime, known as the ‘principal boy’. Traditionally a young male protagonist, the character is conventionally played by a woman in drag. Using and subverting traditional British pantomime conventions, Principal Boy explores the presence and absence of trans and gender-nonconforming people in mainstream culture, including film and stage productions.⁠ ⁠

Crusts

A month after the untimely death of her husband, a Northern Irish widow gathers her family around his grave to mark the occasion with a picnic. But as words and memories are shared, what is left unsaid threatens to boil over.

Margin

In an after-school, last-chance, catch-up class, 16 year-old student Ria’s struggle to better herself clashes with her teacher Emily’s battle to get through an English lesson evoking racial tensions and societal issues that they soon find to be all too relevant.
