The Big one

Disa and Tommy are board by catching small fishes by the pier. They get a hold of a boat and head out to sea to catch a big one. But the fight with the big one turns out to be more than they can handle and soon they find themselves stranded on a reef. They on one reef and their boat on an other. The tie starts coming in and the fight with the big one is not over.

Kalli, a young boy living with his mother in the suburbs of Reykjavik, thrives in the world of movies and computer games. When he is sent to spend Christmas with his father's new family up north at an isolated farm, Kalli meets his stepsister, who he does not get along with. Soon he decides to run away, but only to be hit harder by reality and Kalli has to learn how to fight "real life" challenges while encountering imaginary and fictional creatures.

A gallery of humorous, off-beat characters is revealed, who's seemingly ordinary lives conceal bitter divorces, passionate second marriages, vengeance, luck and misfortune, crime and punishment.

The Old doll

Lilla discovers that she'll be getting a new doll for christmas so she decides to throw the old one away, but once she falls asleep bad dreams start to haunt her.

The Adventures of Paper Peter

Follows the adventure of a group of kids and a paper boy named Peter. Plane ride, box car racing and bad neighbours are all included. Iceland's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1990
