The Poet and Lillemor and Lotte

The poet and Lillemor have become parents, but poetry and washing the diapers are two subjects which are hard to unite under the same roof. The two just married couples, the barber Anton and Vera plus the baker and Lise, are having some difficulties with their marriages but that doesn't scare off the butcher, who's got the hots for the midwife.

Two Kings

The young adventurer Signature Hjelm meets one day a runaway carriage, and succeeds by a resourceful and daring intervention to avert an accident. The rig belongs to Gustav III's favorite, Baron Armfelt, and as a reward for his feat will Ture service of the king's guard. Conspirators trying maple certainly entice him over to the king's enemies, but Ture reports Gustaf receiving a grim and determined expression on his face: "Spies even here!" His confidence Signature increases.

Shadow Plays

After years living in the province, the well-respected lawyer Poul Lindorph returns to the capital. While he is expected to take up the post of Director of Public Prosecutions, his wife Maria is far less enthusiastic about returning to the city. She fears bumping into the editor Asp, with whom she shares a secret: Several years ago, she became Asp’s mistress in order to save Poul and herself from financial ruin. Poor Karin

Karin is a model for the painter Otto Werner, with whom she is very much in love. He, however, is merely toying with her emotions. When he becomes reacquainted with a former mistress, he soon forgets all about Karin. By contrast, Otto’s friend, the older millionaire John Fork, sees Karin and falls in love at first sight. Having received news that Otto has gone away with his mistress, Karin agrees to marry John Fork. Baron Dandy has a weakness for young girls. Almost every day he stands in front of the local housekeeping school and waits for the bell to ring so he can admire the flocks of female students. Grete in particular seems to have caught his eye and he follows her every day on the journey home. One day, Grete has enough of her old stalker and her older brother offers to teach Baron Dandy a lesson. Anna Frank has worked very hard save every penny so that her son Kai can get an education. When he does pass his exam Anna cracks and collapses.

Attorney Krogh and his wife, Gerda, are distraught about their only son, Kai, a wastrel and ne’er-do-well with no aim or direction in life. Goethe’s Faust myth makes an appearance in this drama about a dispute between two scientists. When Doctor Voluntas discovers that his rival, the virtuous Doctor Felix, is about to overtake him in the preparation of a serum for cancer, he decides to lure the good doctor into corruption. An innocent woman, Margaret, is reeled in as a decoy and it works! Doctor Felix soon forgets both about his work and himself, while the devil stands ready to take possession of his soul. The Abyss
