The story is about a teenage boy living in the Philippines who is being persuaded by his family to go to the U.S. to live a better life but continues to be caught in a web of bad choices. The plot is close to my heart because it tells the story of so many of my friends and family living there now and the struggles they face with poverty, drugs, and violence.

Ale Alejandra

Ale Alejandra is a short film about a young woman named Cassandra, who sets off to look for her missing sister, Valerie, and to seek revenge for the murder of their aunt, Alejandra. In her vengeful journey, Cassandra uncovers her aunt’s strange past as a barbecue-stick-wielding vigilante, and confronts Jeremias, Ferdinand, and Roberto; the three men responsible for Alejandra’s murder and Valerie’s disappearance, and who were once Alejandra’s comrades in the notorious barbecue-stick-wielding vigilante group, Sutukil.

A beautician named Elvis (also known as Elvira) finds out one day that he has fathered a bouncing baby boy and is left with the challenge of single parenthood.

The Muses

The Muses' vocalist, Marthe, and her guitarist younger sister, Marie, discover hidden truths about fame, music, family and their own selves on the night of an all-important music competition.
