These 9 episodes are all "Screen Songs," made by Famous Studios in the mid 20th century. All are crisply and colorfully drawn, and are delightful, if one takes them in the context of the era, because they have many elements that are now considered "politically incorrect."

Fishing Tackler

Audrey and her dog Pal try to spend a peaceful day fishing, while avoiding the mean old truant officer.

Penguin for Your Thoughts

After startling a stork who drops his package, Casper the Friendly Ghost delivers a baby penguin to its parents at the South Pole.

Rabbit Punch

It's the night of the Big Fight between Tommy Tortoise and Michael "Moe" Hare. Tommy takes a beating at first and "Moe" knocks him through the "screen" onto the the animator's table, where Tommy learns what strategy and weapons "Moe" will be using in the fight. Since his shell is good protection, Tommy produces two more shells and "Moe" is soon confused by having to play the old shell game. The hare then stuffs horseshoe into his gloves, but the tortoise reacts by pushing a magnet for the rabbit's throat. The rabbit is soon punching himself.

Dizzy Dishes

Audrey is reading a science fiction comic book called 'Ace' when her mother asks her to wash the dishes. Audrey carries the dishes to a workshop where she has invented a dish washing machine. Audrey continues reading her book while the dishes wash themselves. She is interrupted by a radio broadcast announcing that a flying saucer has been spotted in the sky. Audrey imagines a little green man flying over the city in a cup and saucer, disintegrating everything in its path, She then pictures herself as the hero and visualizes ways to stop the alien attack.

Floor Flusher

Popeye and Bluto stop by to see Olive and fix her leaky faucet. Popeye does it better, and Bluto gets jealous, so he starts rerouting Olive's plumbing and causing all sorts of leaks.

True Boo

It's Christmas Eve, and what Casper wants for Christmas is a friend. When his uncles steal his note for Santa, he goes out to find one.

Detouring Thru Maine

A tour of the state of Maine with comic undertones: "modern" tree cutting, lobster fishing and moose hunting. In Bar Harbor, the boats get plastered after being filled up with their choice of gin, rum and rye. The "Lobster Pot" nightclub has a "one fin" cover charge. "The Stein Song" is included as a singalong.

Our Funny Finny Friends

A comical survey of the various denizens of the sea, followed up with a Follow the Bouncing Ball song ('The Three Little Fishes').

Farm Foolery

Farm Foolery shows farm animals harvesting crops at harvest time in the fall. The second half of the cartoon includes a sing along of the Tin Pan Alley standard "Shine on Harvest Moon" by Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth.

The Emerald Isle

"The Emerald Isle" is an animated short about life in Ireland. Includes a sing-a-long of "MacNamara's Band."

Readin', Writin', and Rhythmetic

A sing-along cartoon about school life.

Butterscotch and Soda

The housekeeper does her best to get nourishing food into Little Audrey, but the only thing Audrey wants is candy. And she wants lots of it. The housekeeper banishes Audrey to her room, but the cunning girl has sweets hidden in bags that hang outside her bedroom window. The angry servant finds every last piece of candy in the room and takes it away. Soon, Audrey has candy withdrawal and even gets the sweet-tooth version of delirium tremens. A nightmare sends her to a Candy Horror Land where evil candy canes and sinister licorice drops force-feed her all the candy she doesn't want.

The Golden State

"The Golden State" is an animated short about California. Includes a sing-a-long of "California Here I Come."

Little Brown Jug

An animated short about various woodland creatures milling and drinking apple cider. Includes a sing-a-long of the title song.

Super Lulu

Lulu's dream combines "Jack and the Beanstalk" and her favorite superhero comic books.
