Gabriel is a young rapper who lives in the outskirts of Bogota. We follow his daily struggles as he tries to fulfil his dreams. His friends, family, deals, affairs go by having us as witnesses from afar. But do we really know what is going on?

Absence

Bernarda, an 82-year-old peasant woman, must face the loss and mourning of her husband, one more victim of a war that is not seen, but felt. A war that descends like mist from the top of the mountain leaving everything in its path blank.

The Contestant

It’s 2011 in Colombia, a condiment company has made a promotion offering 2000 pressure cookers in exchange for their products´ empty containers. In Cartagena, Cristobal, a 24 year old guy whose mother is obsessed with the product, joins the queue the night before the promotion starts. He thinks he is at the beginning of the line, but soon realises he is barely in the middle. The fact that the promotion only consists of 2000 pressure cookers does not deter the over 12000 people queuing in Cartagena alone. Shy and unemployed, Cristobal tries to make the most of the time with his new ‘neighbours’.

Fat, Bald, Short Man

Antonio Farfan is a 46 year old man working in a notary's office who has always believed that his personal and professional failure is the inevitable result of his looks: he is bald, short and fat. Though his mind is never silent, his life goes almost uneventfully until the new notary arrives: a fatter, balder and shorter man that, unlike Antonio, is successful and loved by others. Dazed and confused, Antonio is now thrown out to the real world where he faces his own fears and ends up living pretty unexpected situations.
