Tracks

13-year-old Nico is badly beaten by his brother while playing with fireworks. To gain revenge, he steals his brother's cat. Unable to return home, he meets up with some other kids, and they head to the railway track where two of the boys commit an act of mindless brutality. Nico is compelled by the frenzied horror of earlier events to join in. As the day draws to a close, the boys break up and head home and Nico is left to contemplate his actions.

Dragonfly

Two neighbours strike up an unlikely friendship, sometimes to the disapproval of others around them. Seeing the lack of care that her elderly neighbour Elsie is receiving from so called professionals, Colleen takes it upon herself to care for her. However, Colleen’s intentions may not be what they seem.

The Choral

Set in Ramsden, Yorkshire in 1916, the plot centers on the chorus master and most of the men of the ambitious local Choral Society, who have volunteered for the front. Under the direction of the demanding, driven Dr. Guthrie, the Choral recruits a crop of teenage boys and girls. Together they discover the joys of singing and the urgency of desire as the new boys come to terms with their imminent conscription into the army.

Wasp

Zoë is a single mother who lives with her four children in Dartford. She is poor and can't afford to buy food. One day her old flame drives by and asks her to go on a date with him. Scared that he doesn't want to go out with her, she lies and tells him that she is just babysitting the kids. This will be her first date in years.
