The Propaganda Game

North Korea. The last communist country in the world. Unknown, hermetic and fascinating. Formerly known as “The Hermit Kingdom” for its attempts to remain isolated, North Korea is one of the largest sources of instability as regards world peace. It also has the most militarized border in the world, and the flow of impartial information, both going in and out, is practically non-existent. As the recent Sony-leaks has shown, it is the perfect setting for a propaganda war.

Wounded

The first work from Fernando Franco revolves around Ana, a 30 year old ambulance driver. Though good at her job, Ana has problems relating in her personal life. She doesn't know it, but she suffers from a condition known by psychiatrists as Borderline Personality Disorder. The situation pushes her to outbreaks of self-destructive behaviour, alcohol abuse and self-harm. Ana is incapable of getting what she wants most: to be happy.

The prestigious Gran Teatre del Liceu from Barcelona presents Mozart's beloved opera in an elegant, dramatic twist with a sparkling cast of world-class stars, led by coloratura soprano Diana Damrau as Constance and rising star Olga Peretyatko as Blonda. Director Christophe Loy has created a thought-provoking and surprisingly original script in which both Constance and Blonda feel respect, admiration and even deep love for their captors. As a result of this tantalizing, torturous approach, traditional norms and concepts of good and evil were turned upside down.

Shortly after the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, the Republic sent 3,000 children to Russia to protect domestic bombings. The first to leave were the children in the orphanages. Beatriz, daughter of a wealthy family of right, whose father and brother were Phalangists, became pregnant with a man who refused to marry her and decided to hide her son in an orphanage in Madrid. Upon learning of the impending trip to Russia child, steals the identity of a dead republican (Paula) and volunteers to babysit. Undertake and a terrible journey, surrounded by enemies, and thousands of miles from their country and their world. On June 41, Hitler invaded Russia. The continuous arrival of fresh troops for the defense of Moscow and again hinder the journey of the Spanish. At one of these stops are joined by Alvaro, a political commissar of the Communist Party of Spain.
