The Last 100 Days

Canadian military accomplishments in the last hundred days of World War I, when the German Army was destroyed, surpassed those of any other army. The Canadian success was, in no small measure, due to Arthur Currie, whom a recent British historian describes as "the most successful Allied General and one of the least well known."

Sam's Army

Canada was led to war by a bigoted, ignorant, self-obsessed Minister of Militia, who may well have been clinically insane, but the importance of Canada's contribution in that war owes a great deal to him. The man of course, was Colonel - later made Lieutenant General by his own hand - Sam Hughes. Sam's Army is a compelling portrait of a complex man and the formidable military he built. Sam Hughes was not your standard-issue military leader. Canada's World War I Minister of Militia and Defence concentrated power in his own hands, insisted that the Canadian military use the ill-conceived Ross rifle and liberally promoted his cronies. But there was no denying Hughes was a visionary. He assembled the world's largest-ever volunteer army and bucked superiors to keep his ferocious fighting force together in one Canadian Corps.

When the zealous followers of the Church of the Divine Light collide with the heathen filmmakers heaven help those caught in the middle! Bishop Wally, the cult's corrupt founder, must liquidate his assets or face the wrath of the IRS, unaware that his too-slick tax advisor Lodz Kuckoff has unwittingly set the stage for calamity. Kuckoff promises a filmmaker, Liberty Jean, that he'll secure the million dollars she needs to make her dream project, an expose on sex in advertising. She reluctantly agrees, even though part of the deal includes having to cast the financier's curvaceous, but obnoxiously untalented girlfriend LIta as the star. Kuckoff, realizing the terrible mistake he's made, hires the neighborhood thugs to sabotage the picture. However, before they can hit full stride, the Bishop arrives and declares his own holy war. The movie's set, a gigantic birthday cake, becomes the battleground for one of the most uproarious brawls ever.

Quest for Fire

In the prehistoric world, a Cro-Magnon tribe depends on an ever-burning source of fire, which eventually extinguishes. Lacking the knowledge to start a new fire, the tribe sends three warriors on a quest for more. With the tribe's future at stake, the warriors make their way across a treacherous landscape full of hostile tribes and monstrous beasts. On their journey, they encounter Ika, a woman who has the knowledge they seek.

At a high school senior prom, a masked killer stalks four teenagers who were responsible for the accidental death of a classmate six years prior.
