Vladimir and Olga raise ducks on a small isolated farm in the countryside. They hope for a child, but this expectation soon turns into a nightmare.

Yet they no longer enjoy anything, constantly being pushed around by a society that demands more and more of them, and burdened by problems that are beyond them.
