Maramba

Maramba tells about the burial of the King of Sumba in Indonesia. The Marapu ritual exists to be a reflection of how Sumbanese have a sacred bond with nature and their ancestral line, as if there is no line of life that is disconnected from them. Umbu Mahani Pekulangu also known as Umbu Nai Tunga is the 16th descendant who occupies the island of East Sumba. He was the last remaining king of the Sumbanese people and buried based on their belief, namely the Marapu belief. After Umbu Nai Tunga died, all of his descendants agreed not to continue the royal system, and continue with the system implemented by the Republic of Indonesia.

Bhàko: The Golden Leaf

Fauzi, a bachelor who wants to be a tobacco farmer. Because of his selfishness, misery befell him and his closest. Yoyon, who works for Fauzi's father, has a will to heal his sick wife. Yoyon's inability to fulfill that, made him ruthless and have a guts to kill his wife. Pak Mul, a tobacco broker who tries to be free from financial problems must accept his fate if he incure losses. And complicated family problems, drives him crazy.

Lahbako (The Social Portrait of Tobacco Industry)

This documentary captures a portrait of the tobacco industry which still has many social, political and health polemics. In this documentary, I deliberately did not include any dialogue, the images were formed from a series of montages.
