Don Ng has always considered his work in filmmaking a contribution to humanity - revealing the plight and stories of the ordinary people as what he had been pursuing over his 20 years of journalistic career before becoming a self-taught filmmaker in 2015 for the same reason. Integrating his story-telling and news reporting skills, Don writes and directs short films that profoundly reflect on the happenings in society and give people a voice. His short films have been screened in film festivals in Hong Kong, Thailand, London and Berlin. The list of accolades includes two grand prizes and being selected as a finalist at festivals. Don's vision, as he recently shared, is to further discover and expand his curiosity and hone his craft in filmmaking. He's in constant motion in cleverly morphing his characters and the messages that they represent.
