After World War II, a lot of people, who lived in the eastern parts of the Third Reich had to be relocated. One of them is Hugo Starosta (Martin Held) with his family. They live in a fortress. Hugo is unemployed, his children don't seem to like school, but somehow they managa to get through.

Gefährliches Spiel

The formerly wealthy Baron Carl Erich von Wenden is desperate. His debts are out of control and he is forced to give up everything he owns. Since he doesn’t want to burden his daughter Rosy with all of this, he tells her he’ll take a pleasure trip with her … in truth, however, he has to work as an assistant waiter in the evenings, while Rosy stays in the hotel. He constantly fears his daughter will discover the truth; and this is a shame he cannot bear.

Pygmalion

The poor, lower-class girl Eliza Dolittle sells flowers at London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral to passers-by. Her plain jargon, her headstrong way of expressing herself, fascinates the briefly passing-by language researcher and phonetics teacher professor Higgins. He meets a good acquaintance, colonel Pickering, who is also interested in science, and makes a wager with him: Higgins bets that he can accomplish that, within just six months, he can turn the squalid girl with grubby looks into a gentle lady of the London society with splendid manners and a likewise pronunciation. Eliza may not know what’s coming for her, but after some persuasiveness, she agrees to move into the fine house of the professor.

F.P.1 Doesn't Answer

F.P.1 is a huge airplane landing dock in the Atlantic where pilots making the transatlantic flight can stop. Yet a saboteur tries to sink the technical wonder in this classic German science fiction film from 1932. The film was also created with English and French speaking actors at the same time.

The Three from the Filling Station

Die Drei von der Tankstelle, meaning The Three from the Gas Station, was advertised as a German operetta when release and with it’s star studded cast would become the forerunner of Musical films. Even today the soundtrack of the comic harmonists is popular in Germany.
