Broken

Jani Budi, 60s, after serving a sentence, was released from prison in Ancona and embarks on a ship to return to his country of origin, Albania. Arriving in Tirana he discovers the shocking truth: his wife died shortly after his arrest, and his son, Andi, has become politically corrupt. The film is a combination of drama and comedy that scans Albania today and human relations.

Ballkan Bazar

The film describes how Albanian graves were opened by Greeks and the contents moved and re-identified as being the bones of Greek soldiers from World War II.

Tickets

A train travels across Italy toward Rome. On board is a professor who daydreams a conversation with a love that never was, a family of Albanian refugees who switch trains and steal a ticket, three brash Scottish soccer fans en route to a match, and a complaining widow traveling to a memorial service for her late husband who's accompanied by a community-service volunteer who's assisting her. Interactions among these Europeans turn on class and nationalism, courtesy and rudeness, and opportunities for kindness.

The Living Wall

The film is based on and develops the subject of a well-known legend of a sacrifice in the Rozafa castle, as a free interpretation of what people have preserved for centuries. Three married brothers decide to sacrifice in the castle the wife of whom will bring the lunch, so that the wall will not collapse once again on the ground.

Flutura in My Cab

Tom Melgushi, becoming overexcited from alcohol, wanders around the streets disturbing people. And one day, Flutura, a teacher of the village, gets on his cab, and there was a glimpse of hope for a stable relationship with the young woman. Tom becomes subject of public criticism after Flutura's accident, because she jumped out of the cab fearing Tom's violence.

The Decision

The events of film take place in the first days of May 1942 when Albania was under fascist occupation.The enemy is trying by all means to discover the leadership of the Communist Party of Albania wipe it out along with the people's National Liberation Movement. In this grave situation,the communists are faced with counter attack. The film reflects the stormy days of war, the ferocity of the enemy and the strength of the Party and the people who remain undaunted by terror and violence.

The Bride

Northern Albania, 1911. Bali marries Bardha, who is betrothed to Sokol Dema, currently imprisoned by the Turks. Bardha tells this to Bali on the first night of their marriage and puts him in a dilemma: he should either kill Bardha due to the laws of the land, or send her to the parents of Sokol Dema.

Face to Face

A translator at the conference of communist parties witnessed the biggest break between the two communist parties. The dramatic events in the military conflict take place on a naval base in Albania, which the Soviets did not dare to adopt. Based on a novel by Ismail Kadare.
