The Magic Jacket

The poor little Ferkó is trying to enrich his miserable life with imaginary fairy tale figures and superstitious little stories. He suffers from diphtheria, and while he is having a visionary dream, Cinkekirály (Titmouse King) saves him from the claws of the magic Küsmödi. He expects his magic jacket to enable him to know everything at school without having studied.

Dióbél királyfi

Animated adaptation of the tale by Ferenc Móra in which the old king, on the advice of his long-serving shepherd, arranges an archery competition to decide which of his three sons will inherit the crown. The competitors have to hit the centre of a copper penny on which there is the image of the old king.

The Grief of King Soemvolt

A fly has flown into the room of a king of a country that has never been. The king asks the court master, the chief hunter, and the sling master to destroy the fly. After they all fail, the court fool also tries the task.

Professor Hannibal

A school teacher becomes a momentary hero after having rescued a stuffed-bird from a school incident.

Song of the Cornfields

A Hungarian soldier returning from fighting in the Second World War marries the woman he believes to be the widow of a former comrade who he thinks died in the POW camp in which they were held.
