It is a film essay that tries to tell the story of two people who communicate with some archival materials that they find in Santo Domingo at different times. One of the people belongs to that era of the archives, who now lives in a future where the city no longer exists. And the other, a person who has never heard of this city where his family is from.

"Esa niña era loca con su papá"

Over time, Frangery’s relationship with her father has become distant, and without noticing that distance became bigger and bigger due to his illness. During her stay at her parents house, she goes to her only source of answers… her mother, to be able to understand her father's day-to-day life. In observing and sharing small moments with him, the answers take shape.

Depeyize

Mikael, a Haitian immigrant, lives with his mother in Boca Chica, he practices basketball every day with Yeison and other young people from the neighborhood, but one day when he returns from practice his mother has disappeared. The immigration police have taken his family in “la camiona” back to Haiti. Yeison decides to take Mikael into his home, but this brings family conflicts to Yeison's home.

Blue Sunshine

Blue Sunshine is a meditation on grief. Through dreamlike images and fictional scenarios, the director dialogues with her past and present, reflecting on the loss of her mother, the complex relationship with her father and the thought of her own farewell.

A few years after Angela’s death, her granddaughter Frangery, a young filmmaker, decides to visit the house where her grandmother used to live, now home to her aunt Tona. She hopes to find and perhaps capture her essence among the objects and memories of her family. However, grief is different. Despite fear crossing her path, each space offers memories and gifts—the recollections of her grandfather, her cousin's fulfilled dreams, a promise on the verge of being kept, and the deep desire to remain.
