As a self-confident emerging talent, classical pianist Djuwa Mroivili is finding her way within the conservative white music world. Djuwa conducts historical research into the 1883 World Exhibition on the current Museumplein in Amsterdam, where people from Dutch colonies were also exhibited. She discovers astonishing parallels with today's classical music programming and uses these new insights to take a radical path of her own.

What Remains

The very personal inner process of mourning is shown in the way stragglers clean the house of their deceased parents. That house is the most personal domain, loaded with touchable memories of an accomplished human life. A documentary about dismantling and grieving.

The Farmer

Eight years ago director Daan Jongbloed stumbled upon an abandoned farm, which surprisingly was inhabited by 97-year-old farmer Peer. The peacefulness and sobriety in which Peer lives fascinated Daan tremendously. His view of Peer’s rural lifestyle is rather idyllic, but to Peer this is reality. Why does he live the way he does? Who is Peer and what’s troubling him? In an attempt to understand Peer and his perception of life Daan has followed him on and off for the past eight years. Peer cautiously reveals a glimpse of his lonely life and disturbing past.
