Anthim the Iberian - Antimoz Iverieli, a Georgian theologian, scholar, calligrapher, philosopher and one of the greatest ecclesiastic figures of Wallachia, led the printing press of the prince of Wallachia, and was Metropolitan of Bucharest in 1708-1715.

A Most Ordinary Story

War and Peace, Part III: The Year 1812

In 1812, Napoleon's Army invades Russia. Kutuzov asks Bolkonsky to join him as a staff officer, yet the prince requests a command in the field. Pierre sets out to watch the upcoming confrontation between the armies. During the Battle of Borodino, he volunteers to assist in an artillery battery. Bolkonsky's unit waits in the reserve, but he is hit by a shell. Both Anatol and Bolkosnky suffer severe wounds. The French Army is victorious and advances on Moscow.

Kochora

The thief sold the stolen foal to a coachman. The foal grew up and became a wonderful horse. After being bound in a carriage its whole lie, the horse got old and the coachman let it go, however, Kochora couldn't break its habit, it often chased the familiar cart.

War and Peace, Part I: Andrei Bolkonsky

The first film of a four-part adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s 1869 novel. In St. Petersburg of 1805, Pierre Bezukhov, the illegitimate son of a rich nobleman, is introduced to high society. His friend, Prince Andrei Bolkonsky, joins the Imperial Russian Army as aide-de-camp of General Mikhail Kutuzov in the War of the Third Coalition against Napoleon.

There Was an Old Couple

In this provocative Soviet drama, an aged couple are left homeless after their farm burns down, and they head off to live with their impoverished daughter. When they arrive, they are appalled to learn that she has abandoned her child and husband to run away with a married man. The husband is now an alcoholic, so the grandparents stay on to support their son-in-law in his time of need and to help care for their grandson. Later, the errant daughter is dumped by her lover and returns. Many fights ensue until the grandfather banishes his troublesome daughter from their lives.

Our Street

The film is about the girl who was lost during the war and her return to her motherland after some events.

Under One Sky

A three-part feature film by Georgian director Lana Ghoghoberidze, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Soviet Union. The film is based on Leo Qiacheli's short story "Princess Maya" and Archil Sulakauri's novels "Doves" and "Fresco". These three stories are separated by a 20-20 year interval (1921, 1941, 1961).
