Dead of Winter: The Donner Party

What starts out as a voyage to the West in pursuit of the American Dream quickly turns deadly for the Donner party after a series of bad decisions and severe weather. Trapped in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this group of nearly 80 settlers fell prey to sub-zero temperatures, torrential rainfalls, extreme heat, and ten-foot snow drifts. Punishing storms trapped the party with nearly no food or shelter for 5 months in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Many died, some succumbed to cannibalism to survive, and others delved deeply into their faith while waiting to be rescued. “The Donner Party” explores this exciting journey through a hybrid of first-person narration, remarkable reenactments, expert interviews, CGI, and archival materials.

Working through the confusion that Kane's military past is causing Sarah and Juliet are after yet another serial rapist in Seattle. The SIU is put on the case only after it proves too much for Lt. Humphreys' (guest star Rachel Luttrell) Special Victims Bureau. The team's caseload continues to rise when they find the bodies of runway models killed in a fashion too disturbing for even this SIU team. Two cases are never the same and the SIU team is stretched thin by the gaining strength of Seattle's crime world in this Urban Warfare.

The Combination

Running Mates

Main opponents at the mayor's election in Nashville are the middle-class Jones and rich Adams. Their children, 21 years old Thommy Lee and 17 years old Elisabeth Adams, meet each other in a bar and are immediately sympathetic. But when her father sees him on a party of her's, he almost throws him out - afraid of being spied on - and later prohibits her any further contact. The two continue meeting nevertheless and develop a romantic relationship. But they can't keep it secret for very long and eventually get drawn into an intrigue against Elizabeth's father.
