La Campagne de Cicéron

In this romantic farce, former opera-singer and current music festival organizer Hermance (Judith Magre) is married to Charles-Henry (Jean Roquel). However, she still has a passion for her former lover Simon (Carlo Brandt), but he has a thing for Francoise (Sabine Haudepin). Meanwhile, Nathalie (Tonie Marshall) keeps trying to put the moves on Hippolyte (Jacques Bonnafe), who is either unaware of or is ignoring her efforts, while her lackluster former lover Christian (Michel Gauthier) looks on and stays out of the whole mess. Who comes out the worst in this deal? Naturally enough, it's Christian, the fellow who has, for good or ill, kept the most distance from it, when Hermance, who seems jealous of everyone, tries to get even with Simon for running off with Francoise. Don't worry, it's supposed to be confusing.

The Donkey Who Drank The Moon

In a small village in the Corbieres, a grandfather tells his grandson five tales from his repertoire. The first one follows three young people who went to Paris to learn French. "Le Maire de Quillan" tells how a pig became mayor of the village. "Le Moine change en ane" is a story with four characters where the monk and the donkey become one. "The Donkey who drank the moon" is a facetious story that embroiders on misunderstandings. The last one is a tale in formation.

Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman lives in New York. Filmed images of the City accompany texts of Akerman's loving mother back home in Brussels. The City comes more and more to the front while the words of the mother, read by Akerman herself, gradually fade away.

Tomorrow's Children

The hero of this bleak science-fiction story is a married man who, along with his wife, survives the mysterious destruction of the world. After his wife dies, he makes plans to seek out whatever remnants of civilization exist. However, the arrival of a group of children and their older mentor changes his plans.

She endures torments as a musically gifted girl and later as a young woman; her developing madness and the barbaric treatments of the time are shown.
