Adventure in Paris

Michel Levasseur is a joyous reveler who does not care about the next day. So much so that one day a bailiff bursts into his Paris apartment and seizes his furniture on behalf of Raymond Sauvaget, his landlord, a rich food industrialist. But far from resenting Sauvaget's act of hostility, Michel ... becomes his friend. Now Raymond, although prosperous, does not know how to handle women. That is why he asks Michel, a regular Casanova, to give him lessons in seduction.

In 1852, the young Austrian emperor Franz Joseph persuades his friend, Count Michel de Thalberg, to act as a go-between in his love affair with the Bavarian duchess Elisabeth. Not long after his arrival in Munch, Thalberg has an embarrassing encounter in a public garden with an attractive young woman. The innocent incident is misinterpreted by a passer-by who, recognising the woman as the youngest daughter of Ludwig Tomasini, a highly respected caterer, persuades her father that she should marry the man who flirted with her to avoid a scandal (FilmsdeFrance).

This Is the Night

When Stephen, the husband of Gerald’s mistress, Claire, discovers a pair of tickets for their planned trip to Venice, Gerald must invent a wife to cover their tracks. He is then forced to hire a woman to play “his wife” when Stephen insists he and Claire accompany them to Venice.

The Prom

Two middle-class notions dealers live happily with their girl, but an inheritance turns these nice people into snob Nouveaux Riches. Although the aristocracy invites them, the 'Tout-Paris' laughs behind their back. When they invite their would be new friends for a ball in their desirable new mansion, their daughter, sick and tired of being abandoned by her once loving parents, throws the invitations into the Seine.

A singer marries a rich girl without her parents' consent. But he loses his voice, and has to leave her. He becomes a clown in a circus.
