Stories of love and heartbreak, marked by tragedy, intertwine in Imaza, a territory of the Peruvian Amazon jungle. There, the river separates two worlds that do not meet. In one of them, a vital treasure for the survival of the town is hidden, where a school houses a group of girls who share their hopes and despairs. In the other, hostility and uncertainty prevail. The river not only divides geographies, but also destinies. That is why crossing it is a challenge with unpredictable consequences. “El Huaro” is there to remind them of the price of their decisions.

Unspeakable events occurred in the town of Manta. Several young women had to flee from there and were despised forever. They were condemned without anyone asking why they did it. Narrates the trip made by the Henry 9, one of the ships owned by the company of the same name for transportation of passengers and cargo on the route from Pucallpa to Iquitos. Both cities are located in the Peruvian Amazon. The documentary shows the Peruvian rainforests from an angle that is not well known, from that of the everyday life of a riverside dweller, which enables discovering and learning of the natural and cultural value of those who struggle every day against isolation and oblivion.
