Anna dreams of her life after high school, to move away and become an actress, despite her mother Jaya's expectations for her to become a doctor. On the day of Anna's big audition, Jaya organises Anna a scholarship interview, forcing her to choose between family or ambition.

Katie is an 11-year-old girl, being held for questioning by police in an interrogation room. She is silent and scared. But after being pushed, the details of her story are slowly revealed. Perceptions of reality are tested, as Katie details her encounter with a Stranger, at a playground, at night.
