John meets Susan at a party and they return to his flat in order that she can call a taxi. John's brash neighbour Denny makes his own assumptons, and investigates. He is reluctant to leave John's flat and a fierce rivalry develops.

Skirmishes

Two sisters sit at the bedside of their dying mother. One has dedicated herself to looking after her mother, whilst the other has dedicated herself to life, but has returned for the imminent death.
