Dreams

Charlotte, Elona, and Raphaëlle explore inner worlds through oneiric states. Raphaëlle, struggling with maladaptive daydreaming, escapes into highly immersive fantasies, torn between joy and suffering. This refuge keeps her from facing reality, including her homosexuality. Over time, she learns to break free from it, embrace her identity, and write. Through discussions with specialists and a writing workshop, the three young women share their perspectives on dreams and existence in an intimate and existential journey.

A Czechoslovak Fairy Tale

In Czechoslovakia, between 1946 and 1971, the characters of two very different fairy tales interacted and enriched each other: on the one hand, the filmmakers of the Czechoslovak New Wave who, through poetic, committed and ambitious cinema, fought against the Soviet yoke with subtle irony; and, on the other, the writer Jan Procházka, who in 1968 added his voice to the popular outcry of the Prague Spring.

1940: Taking over French Cinema

Paris, 1940. German occupation forces create a new film production company, Continental, and put Alfred Greven – producer, cinephile, and opportunistic businessman – in charge. During the occupation, under Joseph Goebbels’s orders, Greven hires the best artists and technicians of French cinema to produce successful, highly entertaining films, which are also strategically devoid of propaganda. Simultaneously, he takes advantage of the confiscation of Jewish property to purchase film theaters, studios and laboratories, in order to control the whole production line. His goal: to create a European Hollywood. Among the thirty feature films thus produced under the auspices of Continental, several are, to this day, considered classics of French cinema.
