Art and the Cold War. Esthetic Resistance

A story about the relationship between independent Soviet art and the West. It recalls a time when art was larger and more important than life itself. On one side, there are independent Soviet artists who lack not only the output but also the finances to complete their works. On the other side, there is the tempting West whose ambassadors (in the literal sense) take active interest in the Soviet underground art market. Selling one’s works to the West is a tricky business since the almighty KGB stands between the two mutually interested parties. Nevertheless, an incredible quantity of mainly Estonian and Moscovian visual art is sold and taken across the border. This is facilitated mainly by Western diplomats, behind whose coordinated actions stands none other than the CIA.

The Night of Purple Horrors

Ann discovers an article from Estonia, which takes her down memory lane to the nightlife of the 1930s Estonian queer. With a lively dance party, she gets to know the famous characters of the nightlife, who take her with them. Ann witnesses a queer wedding with her own eyes, which is interrupted by timeless figures in robes.

The Academy of Elegant Aging

The self-help and counseling association for the elderly has been operating in Kadriorg for almost 30 years and is fondly called the "Academy of Elegant Aging". The day center gives elderly people the opportunity to realize themselves and communicate with others. Simple tasks help seniors feel needed.The house is run by 70-year-old Heino, who is one of the few men among the lively ladies.

The 100 Candles Game

A group of friends must confront their fears in a terrifying game. They must sit by the other players in a circle made of a hundred candles, take one of them and tell a horror story. As stories are told and candles blown out, strange events will start to happen. They will feel strange presences around them, lurking in the shadows.
