Whitney Houston: We Will Always Love You

Whitney Houston: We Will Always Love You

Famed for her extraordinary vocal range and uncanny ability to reach the emotional core of a song, We Will Always Love You pays tribute to that magnificent body of work and takes a closer look at the woman who brought it to life.Blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime talent and nurtured as an artist by legendary mentors Dionne Warwick and Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston's life had all of the makings of a modern fairytale and, in many ways, it was. The singer scored a remarkable ten #1 hit singles, and even made a successful transition to the silver screen in The Bodyguard, for which she recorded her immortal version of 'I Will Always Love You'. However, behind the beautiful face and the girl next-door charm that endeared her to millions of fans, there lurked a vulnerability that brought a searing intensity to her music and, eventually, tragedy into her life. Now, for the first time on DVD, the complete saga of Whitney Houston's glorious career.

Eagles: Farewell I Tour - Live from Melbourne

Eagles: Farewell I Tour - Live from Melbourne

The show features some great light and sound effects apart from the great music that Eagles is renowned for. The 'five-part' harmony song, "Hole in the World" elicits a great crowd participation with the audience providing a 'clap rhythm' as the band sings. The song "Life's Been Good" features some antics by Joe Walsh and Frey with them staging a mock rivalry on stage and the latter having a hearty laugh at the former. The song also features a 'helmet cam' session where the crowd gets to see what the camera on Walsh's helmet points at. Also, the songs "The Boys of Summer" and "Hotel California" feature the first officially documented use by the Eagles of a drum machine in a live performance; in particular, during "Hotel California", a pre-programmed track is used to simulate the muted guitar strums which provide a steady beat on the original studio recording of the song, and which are absent from all of the previous live performances of it.

Christina Aguilera: My Reflection

Christina Aguilera: My Reflection

Aguilera's first concert video, a repackaging of a slick special that aired on ABC-TV in 2000, shows what this "girl" really wants is to move beyond the bouncy R&B-flavored pop she's known for. Her cheeky hits ("Genie in a Bottle," "Come On Over, Baby," "What a Girl Wants") are followed by songs from Mi Reflejo, her Spanish-language album, and My Kind of Christmas, her holiday release. She has sweet duets with R&B legend Dr. John on "Merry Christmas, Baby" and balladeer Brian McKnight on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," and shares the stage with rapper Lil' Bow Wow (weird, but it works) on "So Emotional" and "Christmas Time."
