Be yourself

Yasushi and Yuka, who have both lost their spouses in the past, are brought together by fate and lead a happy life together, blessed with two children. Then one day, their new house, which the couple had painstakingly built together, catches fire due to Yuka's carelessness. Fortunately, no one in the family is seriously injured and Yasushi is relieved, but the shock of the fire causes Yuka to suffer from a neurological disorder called dissociative amnesia, and she is unable to remember even her own name. The doctor tells her that there is no clear cure in modern medicine, which shocks Yasushi, but she accepts Yuka in her current state and decides to walk with her again.

Returning the Favor

Kitahara Kazunori was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in the fall of his second year in high school, and thereafter spent a year and 10 months battling the disease. Although he studied hard for the university examinations and was successfully admitted to his first choice, [the prestigious] Tokyo University, he only managed to visit it for a day before passing away. After that, last January [i.e. 2005], Kazunori's mother compiled the thoughts he had left behind and published it as a book, and it was adapted into this drama. Even as Kazunori had to fight his serious illness, he received support from his friends, school teachers and family members, and had warm relations with many people. This drama illustrates the 1 year and 10 months young Kazunori persevered together with the people around him.

High School Teacher

Hamura entered a high school as a biology teacher. Unexpectedly, one of his students, Mayu, fell in love with him. The forbidden love between the teacher and the student began to sprout. Hamura was worried that his relationship with Mayu would be misunderstood, so he tried to escape. However, he later understood Mayu’s tragic life and that the two could not be separated.
