Rei, who was affected by the disaster in Ishinomaki, graduated from a university in Tokyo with scholarship funds and is currently working at a renovation company in Saitama Prefecture. Worried about her younger childhood friend, Nagi, who tends to withdraw in her hometown, she visits Ishinomaki with her junior at work, Yuta. While Yuta grows closer to his girlfriend Nagi, Rei looks back on her days spent with her mother, whose whereabouts are still unknown.
