The Champion

It is 1940. The first transport of prisoners arrives at the newly created concentration camp Auschwitz. One of them is Tadeusz “Teddy” Pietrzykowski, pre-war boxing champion of Warsaw. The camp officers force him to fight in the ring for his and other prisoners’ lives. However, his every win strengthens the hope that Nazis are not invincible. Auschwitz officers notice the growing resistance. The confrontation with the authorities of the camp becomes inevitable.

Interior

Maciek (35), tricked by his boss, steals his boss's car and goes on a desperate joyride across. He drives across the interior of Poland, where people are preparing for a celebration of an unspecified anniversary. In the meanwhile, Magda (35), a Town Hall employee in charge of the anniversary events, Highly committed at first, gradually notices all the dirt and corruption around her. At some point, she must choose between her career and integrity, whether she should accept it or risk her career and leave. Finally, on the celebration day, Maciek and Magda finally meet. Will it change anything for them?

World Champion

The protagonist of this documentary is Jerzy Górski, a triathlete with a history whose motto is “I have always wanted to be the best, no matter what I do”. His story, which was already the subject of the feature film by Łukasz Palkowski „The Fastest”, acquires the virtue of a personal testimony of a sportsman and former drug addict. In Górski’s turbulent life, combating addiction and the ambition of achieving increasingly better sports results are two sides of the same coin – the ability to overcome your body barriers in order to get to the top.
