Ladies Invite Gentlemen

Anna Pozdnyakova is already over 30 years old and, despite the fact that she is kind and pretty, she cannot find herself a man with whom she could find family happiness. Already it seems like a suitable candidate in the person of a prominent military man, Viktor, has taken a liking, but at first sight he falls in love with Anna's friend Raisa and marries her. Then Anya takes out a vacation at her own expense and goes south to Sochi.

Intervention

The movie is set during the last days of a foreign intervention against Soviet Russia. Police are searching everywhere for a Bolshevik named Brodsky but cannot find him. Meanwhile, a man named Michel Voronov serves as a teacher to a rich woman's son, Zhen'ka.

The Return of Maxim

The second part of trilogy about the life of a young factory worker, Maxim. In July 1914, the Bolsheviks and Mensehviks compete for representation of the working-class in the Duma. Maksim, who just returned from exile, calls the workers to strike as a protest against the firing of six of their colleagues. The traitor Platon Dymba assaults Maksim, wounding him severely. When the strike unfolds the workers demonstrate by the thousands, the news of the outbreak of World War I suddenly arrives. Maksim gets drafted.

The Private Life of Pyotr Vinogradov

Graduating students of school Peter Vinogradov, Senya Kaufman and Kotya Ohotnikov leave from a distant city to Moscow. Friends promise not to forget a home town and friends. Peter with melancholy says goodbye to favorite girl Valya, dreaming to enter the Moscow conservatory. Arriving in the capital, friends act to work on a car factory and settle down in evening institution of higher learning. Life begins only.
