Ang Panday 2

Ang Panday 2 begins with Flavio/Panday (Revilla) and Maria settling in the peaceful and quiet town of Matandang Kahoy. All is well until Lizardo returns and captures Maria. On his quest to save his lady love, Flavio crosses paths with Ariana whose father had been killed by Lizardo. As the two join forces, Ariana finds herself falling for Flavio. Katas ng Saudi

After 10 years working as a supervisor for an oil drilling firm in Saudi Arabia, Oca (Jinggoy Estrada, in a somewhat restraint performance) returns to the Philippines to visit his family. The film opens with his wife (Lorna Tolentino), best friend (Bayani Agbayani) and dotting mother (Vangie Labalan) waiting patiently for Oca's arrival at the airport. We are then introduced with the rest of the star studded cast, as Oca visits his house, where he meets up with his estranged kids (Shaina Magdayao, Arron Villaflor, Julian Estrada), and parents in loss (in-laws), which shows no affection whatsoever towards him. Only his drinking buddies, mother, and sister, are excited on his return, only because they see him as a prized cash cow. Jose Javier Reyes revisits his movie, Bayarang Puso (1997), in a cheese filled dance sequence, Oca drunk as ever grooves with no pretension. This and other embarrassing situations tears the family slowly apart.

Nathan, on the other hand, proves himself and his love to her by making an effort to learn about her background, culture and language resulting into various mishaps, sometimes comical and other times just plain disastrous. Charity finds solace in the kitchen, her cooking interwoven with the story of her ill-fated romance. Will true love prevail in the end? And will she be able to come up with the perfect recipe for love?

Jose Javier Reyes' dramatic thunderbolt from Regal Films, "Bayarang Puso" which stars Aga Muhlach, Lorna Tolentino, and Carmina Villaroel is a movie about decadence and materialism set against a backdrop of the most recent leisure class craze, ballroom dancing. Although the film makes obviously wild pirouettes around this very interesting subject-dance instructors and their willing and able clientele and whatever relationships they have in between- it is in fact an intriguing drama about love, avarice, and betrayal.
