My Cousin

Sincere but struggling sculptor Tommasso (Caruso--bushy moustache, gawky) works in an ornamental plaster shop, but his masterpiece on the side is a bust of his cousin Caroli (Caruso--no moustache, polished), who is the Metropolitan Opera's leading tenor. Tommasso hopes to marry his model Rosa, but her father, restaurant owner Pietro, wants her to find someone more settled and money-conscious, such as the greengrocer Lombardi down the street. Tommasso, he says, throws away his money, such as for a pair of tickets to take Rosa to the opera to see his famed cousin. After the opera, the cousins cross paths in the swanky Galeotto's restaurant, but when neither recognizes the other, Tommasso is generally mocked and Rosa believes him a liar and unworthy. Tommasso must recover his reputation and make a sale, preferably the Caroli bust to his cousin, in order to win Rosa back.

The Firefly of France

The "Firefly of France" is an elusive master criminal of uncertain loyalties. When the Firefly disappears from view with a satchel of important government documents in his possession, his sister Esme Falconer is suspected of beings in cahoots with him. The House of Silence

Eve's Daughter was the fourth and final screen teaming of Billie Burke and Thomas Meighan. This time out, Burke is cast as Irene Simpson-Bates, who is disheartened to learn that her millionaire father has left her with a mere $15,000. She is subsequently courted by two men: Poor but respectable John Norton (Thomas Meighan), and rich but disreputable Courtenay Urquahrt (Lionel Atwill, in his American screen debut).

The Shuttle

American heiress Bettina Vanderpoel departs for England to visit her sister Rosalie and her impoverished nobleman husband Sir Nigel Anstruthers. Arriving at their dilapidated estate, Betty finds that Nigel not only has wasted Rosalie's fortune but has treated his wife and their little son cruelly. Betty jumps into action promptly repairing the estate with her own money and seeking to offer some relief to her sister by introducing her into English society. In the process, she meets Lord Mount Dunstan, a proud but penniless nobleman who lives in the adjacent estate. Strongly attracted to Betty, he nonetheless avoids her so as not to appear a fortune hunter. When an epidemic breaks out among the farmers it leads to life changing consequences for both sisters and the men in their sphere.

Mrs. Dane's Defense

An Englishwoman misbehaves in Canada, driving a traveling companion to suicide and bearing a secret child whom she whisks away. When she returns to England to receive an inheritance, her bad deeds catch up to her. The film is presumed lost.

Bab's Burglar

When Bab Archibald's father gives her $1,000 with the proviso that the gift will serve as her allowance for the year, our heroine proceeds to blow the dough on a brand new car. The car is subsequently totaled when Babs runs afoul of a milk truck, and paying for the damages leaves her with a measly 16 cents. Frustrated yet undeterred, Babs takes a job as a cabbie. One of her customers leaves something behind - a blueprint for the Archibald mansion. Could this customer be nothing more than a crook? Bab is on the case!

Bab's Diary

Bab comes home for the Christmas holidays. Given to fabrications, Bab has been keeping a diary in which she describes and imaginary boyfriend named Harold Valentine. Imagine what happens when a real Harold Valentine shows up as her parents' house guest.

Magda

But when Vivian meets streetwalker Aggie May (Alice Hollister), she mistakenly believes that Keith is responsible for the woman's downfall.

The Yellow Pawn

An artist is in the countryside, painting, when he meets a girl in a roadster. They fall in love, but the girl marries a lawyer for his money. She should have waited -- the artist becomes a huge success, commanding a thousand dollars for a portrait sitting. The girl convinces her husband to let the artist paint her, but one night while she is visiting his studio, a thieving relative of his enters and is killed by a servant. To protect the girl, the artist allows himself to be accused of the murder. Her husband happens to be the prosecuting attorney, and when she reveals she was at the artist's home the night of the murder, he prepares to shoot the artist himself. But before he can raise his gun, the servant stabs him to death.

She helps police expose the real killer by going undercover as another maid.

To Have and to Hold

Lady Jocelyn, a favorite in the court of England's King James, escapes a forced marriage to the hated Lord Carnal by fleeing to American colonies. There she meets and marries Captain Ralph Percy. Pursued by Lord Carnal, Lady Jocelyn and her new husband eventually find themselves shipwrecked on a desert island with Lord Carnal.
