"Waking in Real Time" is a meditation on America's betrayal of women during the hearing on sexual assault allegations made against Brett Kavanaugh by Dr. Christine Blase Ford. A single contemplative shot of a soft October morning's first light over the Salish Sea is juxtaposed with an unflinching audio mix that is chilling, historically riveted, and peppered with statistics about sexual assault, screaming seagulls and women's fury.
