When Nuvolari Runs: The Flying Mantuan

Tazio Giorgio Nuvolari (16 November 1892 - 11 August 1953) was an Italian racing driver. First he raced motorcycles and then he concentrated on sports cars and single-seaters. Resident in Mantua, he was known as 'Il Mantovano Volante' (The Flying Mantuan) and nicknamed 'Nivola'. Ferdinand Porsche called him "the greatest driver of the past, the present, and the future."

Where shall we put grandma? Her permanently anxious and stressed daughter, Marie, knows exactly where: the neighbourhood’s idyllically situated retirement homem where she can find friends of “her own age”. The husband of Elli died several years ago and now Elli has great financial problems: she must pay 3.000€ of income tax for her shop.At the same time Elli receives a letter from Capri and learns that she is the heiress of a small boarding house in Capri where as child she spent her school holidays.So Elli decides to travel as soon as possible to Capri: crossing through Italy with her old car she gets mechanical problem, but an old retired man and widower who travel with his Chihuahua dog in a camper, rescues her and together they travel to Naples, where she will take the ferry to Capri.In a moment of distraction she forgets her wallet in the camper of Heinz and has to travel as stowaway on the ferry. Then she receives a phone call from her sister Dorothea who asks her where she is and what she is doing: Dorothea is on the same ferry because she has also received a letter from the lawyer Roberto about the inheritance of a board house in Capri.

When police is about to apprehend a famous gang of bank robbers, an elite sniper opens fire from a roof, thus facilitating the flee of his accomplices. However, one of them is seriously injured, which compromises the plans of the thieves.

Marquise

Marquise is a drama about the rise and fall of a beauteous actress. As cheerfully portrayed by Sophie Marceau, the eponymous heroine is an engagingly ribald, but perhaps rather too modern, character. She rises from an impoverished background to become a favourite of the Sun King, Louis XIV, and the mistress of the celebrated Racine, who wrote roles especially for her; but her fate, in the end, is a tragic one.
