Each destination reveals new ways of being online – and new questions about what kind of digital world we really want to live in.

Industries of Freedom

Privilege is the world’s largest EDM nightclub. A hedonistic paradise in Ibiza, where tourists and professional dancers live out both a collective and individual fantasy about freedom in an artificial setting. Freja Sofie Kirk and Esben Weile Kjær’s video work analyses the commercial logic deeply embedded in the promise of happiness – and the desire – upon which the entertainment industry is built. Privilege is also a workplace where young employees have clear roles in the machinery. The dancers’ bodies are transformed into scenographic objects, which melt together in a gigantic choreography that includes cranes and a giant inflatable shark. ‘Industries of Freedom’ also looks at nightlife from the inside, with the collective out-of-body experience taking on a transformative and ecstatic aspect – like a take on the great common rituals of our times.

Color Me

At times you find yourself on a dark road in a deep black valley. It is hard to orient yourself. You vaguely recall who you are, but it is hard to completely grasp, you have to lay down to dissolve into the ground. We all contain darkness. A door to a strange place, where the world falls apart and becomes unrecognizable. A floaty reality, almost dreamlike. How do we respond when we have to face our own fears and mortality, and is it possible to find tranquility within the world of our nightmares?

Amfi

Though they are strangers to each other, three young men trapped in the ruins of an amphitheatre reveal their innermost shame, fears and secrets to break free and accept their fluid sexuality. By taking its starting point in the bisexual man, the conversation turns into a broader inquiry into gender and sexuality and becomes an existential portrait making to reframe our general understanding of men.

Mannequins

Mannequins examines the suburb as a state-of-mind through the eyes of a 7th grade teenage girl.

Quiet

A visual exploration of a generation's struggle to re-claim feelings of affection and intimacy. About to lose himself in shallow hookups and friendships, one morning the protagonist wakes up to a strange shift in his perception of reality.
