Alma

An Iranian man has been separated from his daughter, who's been in Soviet Azerbaijan, for 20 years. Finally he has the opportunity to cross the border and see her, but when he gets there he finds that she's been sentenced to death for "anti-Soviet activities."

Kadkhoda's Daughter

A young villager named Nader is interested in Golnar, the daughter of Kodkhoda, but Kodkhoda is against their marriage, and decides to marry his daughter to a steward. Mubasher and Ramal of the village conspire against Nader, but there is a difference between the two of them, whose job it is to make the residents rebellious. Ramal is killed by the butler, and the butler identifies Nader as the murderer and makes him leave the village. Before Mubasher and Gulnar's marriage ceremony is held, he runs away and meets Farrukh Khan, the nobleman who is an educated young man. After hearing the story of Gulnar, Arbab's son makes it possible for him to study and gradually falls in love with him. However, after Golnar insists on marrying Nader and uncovering the secret of Ramal's murder and the butler's arrest, Farrokh, despite his mother's opinion, puts Golnar and Nader on the wedding table.

Wild Angel

A bankrupt businessman and his wife attempt a rail suicide, but the wife's change of heart make it fail. They have already abandoned their newborn daughter who is picked up by a street sweeper and raised in his family. Years later, she runs away from the home searching for a better life and a job...

A Party in Hell

Haji Jabbar is a wealthy man, who is chided constantly by his family for avarice. Haji intends to marry off his daughter, Parvin, to a wealthy old man. He has no regard for the love existing between Parvin and her cousin. He does not care for his son, Hamid, who, due to negligence, is on the verge of a breakdown. In an elaborate fantasy sequence which makes up the last third of the film, Haji finds himself in hell, witness to all sorts of macabre and elaborate tortures and horrors. The film is noted for its elaborate set pieces which recall Méliès. There is even a sequence involving Hitler in hell!
