Kill the Jockey

Remo's self-destructive behavior overshadows his talent. Abril, an upcoming jockey, is pregnant with Remo's baby and has to decide between the child or continuing to race. They both race for Sirena, a businessman who saved Remo's life in the past but now is determined to find him, dead or alive.

In Boulogne, Buenos Aires, a 200-plus-year-old Japanese Minka (民家; literally translated as “house of the people”) stands as the oldest dwelling in Argentina. La Casa de Japón, a residence which also functions as a museum, contains one of the largest historical Japanese craft collections outside Japan. The Minka itself was dismantled and transported 20,000 km from the mountains of Fukui in Japan, via Nagoya, to Buenos Aires in the 1980s. More than two decades later, after years of careful planning, research and restoration, the museum opened its doors to the public in 2006.

Marilyn

Marcos and his family work as ranch hands. While his father and brother handle the heavier tasks, Marcos stays home, close to his mother. Each one has their future laid out before them, yet Marcos bides his time waiting for Carnival, the one moment where he can let his true self out to shine. The sudden death of his father leaves his family in a very vulnerable situation. The ranch owner hounds them to go away, while Marcos’s mother pressures him to take over the work in the fields. Nicknamed Marilyn by the other teenagers in town, Marcos is a target for desire and discrimination.

Fearing Future

Leo is going through a rough patch. His job as a college professor doesn’t provide him with enough money, and to make matters worse, his partner leaves him. He will look for palliatives during one Buenos Aires evening filled with excess in which the threat of self-destruction is always lurking.
