A political musical film about a Pink Jacket that always has something up its sleeve. In the comfort of its home, Pink Jacket uses couture and torture to stitch up the opponents of the system. Mónica Santos has already won twice the Audience Award at Curtas with “Between the Shadows” (2018) and “Amélia & Duarte” (2015).

Between the Shadows

Natália, trapped in a tedious routine, leaves in search of a stolen heart. In a surreal world where hearts are the common currency, she endures several perils, in order to decide if she wants to give her heart up or keep it for herself.

Surprise

Surpresa (Surprise) is a short documentary animation made using a recorded conversation (that is, not acted, not rehearsed, not scripted…) between a mother, Joana, and her three-year-old daughter, Alice, who is recovering from kidney cancer. They both talk – openly and frankly – about the illness, their present circumstances, struggles and successes.

Such petal is the sign of the mustard yellow death that will smother you in the pestiferous, muddy trenches. Not, however, without introducing you to some of the damned that have left already, and who are waiting for you in the fields of desolation.
