Hunger

In 1890, Pontus, the starving writer, wanders the streets of Christiania, in search of love and a chance to get his work published. All he meets is defeat and suffering while his sense of reality is withering. One moment he is delighted and the next he curses everybody. All the time he manages to maintain human dignity and pride.

Harry and the Butler

A gentle comedy offering the promise of easy social consensus. Harry (Helmuth) is a simple old-time shop porter offered a chance at self-realisation when he's bequeathed a sum by an unknown relative (via several levels of fiscal blood suckers). He decides to engage a butler to take good care of him for a time. This is a man of distinguished upper class service, but a generous nature which happily integrates with Harry's small but colourful world of drinking buddies and crackpot neighbourhood kids.

Lulu Vänner står for at skulle gifte sig for fjerde gang. Hun er mor til fire med tre forskellige mænd, men måske er fjerde gang lykkens gang. Selvom børnene godt kan lide Lulus tilkommende, John Carstensen, er de ikke vilde med tanken om giftermål.

Svend come back after a year of travel as a mate. Inger and Svend's father has been waiting him with longing. Conversely, Svends brother Thorsten, jealousy at Svend. Both of Inger's love for Sven and because Svend take over the family fishing boat. After a new argument in the family takes Svend space with another skipper, so that Thorsten can get the boat. Thorsten sabotage the radio, so that Sven and Inger can not talk. So reports Bluewater storm!

En fuldendt gentleman

Folk comedy with Osvald Helmuth in a brilliant role as the butcher Mortensen, who wins a fortune at the roulette table and engages a baron to train him in the role of a consummate gentleman. It gives him, he thinks, a chance to conquer the seamstress in his life. As top-trimmed as you can make butcher Helmuth, the trio, together with the baron's sister, go to the castle meeting with the aristocracy. It will be a tough test, and it is a shame to say that the butcher passes the exam - on the other hand, he gains the experience that lies in recognizing: Money is not everything - it is the innermost that counts.

Love and Burglars

The merchant Blomberg is out in the countryside with his daughters and housekeeper when the idyll is suddenly shattered. The daughters head off to have fun with two young guys from Copenhagen who are on a road trip, and the vagabonds Pat and Patachon seize the chance to interfere for their own gain. The preserved material is the original Swedish version titled 'Landsvägsriddare', translated to 'Tyvepak' in Danish. The film was a huge economic success to the then Swedish owned production company Palladium. It is the first film, in which Pat and Patachon appear as a team, although not in their final constellation: As always, Pat is played by Carl Schenstrøm, whereas Patachon is embodied by Aage Bendixen instead of Harald Madsen. There is another 'Tyvepak' from 1915, which is directed by Lau Lauritzen Sr. as well. This film is a heavily revised version of the 1915-film. (stumfilm.dk)

A Bachelor Husband

Peter and Inga regularly try to convince their bachelor friend Pingel of the many sterling benefits of marriage. Until, that is, an argument about housekeeping causes a rift in the young people’s marriage and Peter dramatically leaves home – determined never to return. Soon after, Inga’s uncle from America announces his arrival, and she persuades Pingel to pretend to be Peter, whom the uncle has been looking forward to meeting. Blind Justice

On New Year's Eve, the convicted murderer, Strong Henry, escapes from prison and collects his son from the orphanage. When he breaks into a local manor to get some milk for his child, he is surprised by a young woman, Eva. Out of pity, she decides to help the stranger, but unfortunately some of the manor's other occupants wake up and call the police. Fourteen years later, Henry is released from prison. Convinced that Eva betrayed him, he sets out to take revenge and find his son.

In Storm and Quiet

After a misspent youth on the wrong side of the law, Teddy finally meets a woman capable of making him break with the past and settle down. Unfortunately, his debt to a loan shark has forced him to pledge part of his future wife’s dowry. When it turns out that his father-in-law has decided to pay the dowry in smaller instalments and will not pay out a lump sum until after three years of marriage, Teddy finds himself in serious trouble.
